Gun Holsters
It is important for every hunter or shooter to have a place for each tool, as they may need to carry many different tools and accessories with them. That
is why we offer many different organizational devices such as baton holders and accessories, belts and belt keepers, concealment holsters, flashlight holders,
glove pouches, handcuff and key holders, hunting and sporting holsters, mace and chemical holders, magazine pouches, military holsters, police/duty/tactical
holsters, radio, pager, and phone holders, and speedloader pouches. These holders will help any shooter or hunter find a convenient place for everything.
A quality belt is a good start on any hunter or shooter’s path to becoming organized. A hunter can use a belt to carry a gun holster or many other important
tools when hunting. For example:
- With a flashlight holder, a hunter can carry a compact flashlight attached to his belt which will come in handy when hunting in dark conditions.
- Glove pouches can be put on a belt as well to carry one or two pairs of gloves.
- Handcuff cases or key holders, which silence the jingling metal of handcuffs or keys, can be carried on a belt.
- Mace and chemical holders also fit well on a belt for easy access.
- Radio, cell phone, and pager holders can be put on a belt to keep contact close at hand.
- Magazine pouches can be put on belt to carry one or two extra magazines in a quick and easy to find location.
- Speedloader pouches fit on a belt to allow you to carry extra speedloaders. They have extra cushioning to prevent rattling and protect bullet tips.
There are several different categories of gun holsters, each with its own purpose. Police or duty holsters are the category of holster that is carried by
uniformed police or security officers. In this category, the firearms are not concealed. However, retention is important with police or duty holsters so many
of these gun holsters will have varying levels of retention security. Tactical and military holsters usually offer more protection for the firearm from the
elements. Also, with tactical and military holsters, secure retention of the firearm is not as crucial.
Concealment gun holsters are generally designed for compact and mid-sized handguns. They are made to be easy to conceal and unobtrusive to the wearer. Concealment
holsters are usually worn concealed by clothing such as under a coat, on the ankle under pants, or in a pocket. These holsters are often used by undercover
law enforcement officers or civilians.
Hunting and sporting holsters make up the final and broadest category of gun holsters. These holsters are worn by shooters and hunters and are designed to
carry the largest guns. They also often have modifications which allow them to accommodate scopes or other attached accessories. Speed of access is not generally
a concern with hunting and sporting holsters since the firearm is not usually used for defensive purposes in this case.
